Ms. Cordero plays an instrumental role in defending individuals, municipalities, its officials, and law enforcement personnel in federal and state tort actions. Her individual tort practice includes actions concerning negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, fraud, defamation, and economic/business torts.
Ms. Cordero’s business and commercial litigation practice includes a wide variety of practice areas and experiences. Ms. Cordero’s most notable representation involves matters where she is responsible for navigating complex issues concerning financial disputes, partnership litigation, corporate wind down, stock purchase disputes, and contractual breaches.
Ms. Cordero’s real estate practice includes drafting contracts, lease agreements, deeds, transfer documents, and all extensive ancillary documents required by lenders and financial institutions in such transactions. As often times combined, Ms. Cordero also assists clients in corporate formation, including the drafting of corporate initiation agreements, and related vendor/sub-contractor agreements, as well as obtaining necessary registrations.
Ms. Cordero is a Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of Orangetown in Rockland County, New York and serves as Counsel to the Law Offices of Lawrence A. Garvey & Associates, P.C.
